ABORVAC -R Sheep Vaccine is prepared from B.melitensis Rev .1 Strain, attenuated, live and freeze-dried a vaccine. A dose of Aborvac R Sheep Vaccine contains 1 -2 x 10s of live B.melitensis Rev.1 live bacteria and as stabilizer in each vaccine bottle 6,25 mg Enzymatic Digest of casein (casiton), 12,5 mg sucrose and 2,5 mg sodium glutamate.

Indication and Contraindications:

ABORVAC-R Sheep Vaccine is used for active immunization of older than 6 months of age female sheep and goats against brucellosis.

The vaccine should not used lambs and kids (because immune system is not just yet development in younger than 3-6 months of age lambs and kids), adult male and pregnant animals.

Administration and Dosage:

  • Diluted vaccine with sterile diluent is injected 1 ml by subcutaneously way to scapula back.
  • ABORVAC-R Sheep Vaccine is applied to healthy sheep and goats.
  • The vaccinated animals are marked with permanent marker.
  • For each animal, different needle is used.

• After vaccination of animals, 2 days are recommended to keep a cool environ­ment.

• Injection around the small hard swellings and a slight increase in body tempera­ture are considered a normal reaction to the vaccine.

• The applicator should observed rules of asepsis and antisepsis and used mask and gloved during vaccination. If necessary; contact places with vaccine are washed with antiseptic.

Precautions: • Diluted vaccine must be used within 2 hours. Male animals should not be vaccinated.

Side Effects:

On rare occasions, anaphylactic shock may develop within 2 hours of vaccination in 1 / 5000 'of atropine sulfate melt 2 each ml 2 times with an interval of 12 hours must be given subcutaneously.

Legal Washout Period

Vaccinated animals should not be slaughtered for a period of 3 months.

Storage Conditions:

The vaccine is stored in dark environment and at 2 °C to 8 °C.

Presentation:

20, 50, 100 and 200 doses in vials with diluent. ( 20 ml for 20 doses, 50 ml for 50 doses, 100 ml for 100 doses and 200 ml for 200 doses).

Destruction Conditions:

The vaccine is autoclaved without open with contents at 121 °C for 30 minutes and discarded to cesspool. If destruction will make in environment conditions; half and empty vials are boiled for 5 minutes in water and than buried to soil.
