Composition:

HEMOPAST-B Vaccine is formalized whole culture of P. multocida and M. haemolytica AT strains. The vaccine is inactivated with formalin and emulsified in aluminum hydroxide gel.

HEMOPAST-B Vaccine is formalized whole culture of P. multocida and M. haemolytica AT strains. The vaccine is inactivated with formalin and emulsified in aluminum hydroxide gel.

 

Indications:

The vaccine is applied to healthy cows, sheep-goats, kids and calf. The vaccine is used to protective purpose for hemorrhagic septicemia due to P.multocida with shipping fever, pneumonia and neonatal pneumonia due to M.haemolytica A1 strains.

Contraindications:

The vaccine is not applied to younger than 15 days calf, lamb and kids, antiserum treatment is applied to animals for Pasteurella infection.

Administration and Dosage:

  • A dose of vaccine is 5 ml for cows, two times applied at an interval of 3-4 weeks by subcutaneous way. Repeated after 6 months. The vaccination is repeated to vaccinate animals once a year.
  • In seasonal change, before transfer the animals and in each period depending on Veterinary surgeon the vaccine is applied to calves.
  • A dose of vaccine is 2 ml for sheep and goats, two times applied at 2-3 weeks interval by subcutaneous way.
  • Vaccination of pregnant sheep and goats are recommended two times with at least 3 weeks interval.

Precautions:

1 .The vaccine is applied to only healthy animals.

  1. The animals are vaccinated in aseptic conditions.
  2. Local swelling in site of injection and light increase of body temperature are normal vaccine reactions.

Side Effects:

On rare occasions, anaphylactic shock may develop within 2 hours of vaccination 10 ml 'of atropine sulfate 1/500 2 times each with an interval of 12 hours must be given subcutaneously.

Legal Washout Period:

Vaccinated animals can be slaughtered after 7 days.

Storage Conditions:

The vaccine is stored at 2 °C to 8 °C (refrigerator conditions). Don not freeze and protect from heat and light.

Presentation:

The vaccine is packed in glass bottles of 10,50 and 100 ml volume as 1, 5 and 10 doses for cattle and as 2.5,12.5 and 25 doses for sheep and goats.

Destruction Conditions:

The vaccine is autoclaved without open with contents at 121°C for 30 minutes.
